Alexa Klein has been regularly practicing yoga since 2007 and received her 200-hour level yoga teaching certification through YogaWorks in 2009. Since the age of three, when Alexa’s parents generously enrolled her in ballet, jazz and gymnastics classes, Alexa has been intrigued and inspired by movement of the body and its effect on the mind. While she tried to continue to maintain that mind-body connection throughout life, Alexa came to yoga as a burnt-out lawyer with the usual corporate America aches and pains -- both physical and spiritual. Alexa has found that not only does the movement of an asana practice open and strengthen the physical body and mind, but all the limbs of yoga combine to take a practitioner deeper towards finding spiritual truths. Alexa’s Vinyasa classes focus on ensuring correct anatomical alignment while providing a challenging Vinyasa-based flow practice that encourages self-reflection and spiritual growth in a playful, non-judgmental environment. Her primary teachers are Tzahi Moskovitz, Jeanmarie Paolillo, and Paula Lynch. In addition, Alexa holds a Juris Doctorate from NYU School of Law and has practiced law as a transactional real estate attorney at Latham & Watkins LLP and as in-house counsel at a real estate company.
